Catching Fire (Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins

Hardcover, 391 pages

Published September 1st 2009 by Scholastic Press

“Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has won the annual Hunger Games with fellow district tribute Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the Capitol and their harsh rules. Katniss and Peeta should be happy. After all, they have just won for themselves and their families a life of safety and plenty. But there are rumors of rebellion among the subjects, and Katniss and Peeta, to their horror, are the faces of that rebellion. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge. ” -Goodreads

OMG!!!! I can’t believe that this ending was sooooooooo good! I can’t wait to start reading Mockingjay!!!! Im so excited.

My fav line…

“But Gale is not one to keep secrets from me. “Katniss, there is no District Twelve.”

Perfect ending I have to say! If I was reading this when the book first came out I would be so frustrated that I wouldn’t be able to read the next installment until it came out. Katniss is back in the Games with Peeta and President Snow is not liking it. There are uprising in almost all the distracts because of her little berry stunt and now Snow is making it clear he is holding her responsible for everything. But is she? Or is she something else entirely? And what is Snow thinking of doing in retaliation…

Thank you Suzanne Collins from writing such a great book!

Overall: 5 out of 5
