Archangel’s Consort (Guild Hunter, #3) by Nalini Singh

Mass Market Paperback, USA, 324 pages
Published January 25th 2011 by Berkley Sensation
Vampire hunter Elena Deveraux and her lover, the lethally beautiful archangel Raphael, have returned home to New York only to face an uncompromising new evil…

A vampire has attacked a girls’ school—the assault one of sheer, vicious madness—and it is only the first act. Rampant bloodlust takes vampire after vampire, threatening to make the streets run with blood. Then Raphael himself begins to show signs of an uncontrolled rage, as inexplicable storms darken the city skyline and the earth itself shudders. The omens are suddenly terrifyingly clear.

An ancient and malevolent immortal is rising. The violent winds whisper her name: Caliane. She has returned to reclaim her son, Raphael. Only one thing stands in her way: Elena, the consort who must be destroyed… – Goodreads

My opinion: This one in the series wasn’t as great as the other ones. The book started off sort of slow, however, we learn more about Elena and her childhood and in the end we find out more about her mother and in essence that final clue form her mother says something about who she is as well. Rafael is hotter than ever, we learn more about him and the his childhood… and mother.
The plot is was pretty much the mystery of which angel is waking up and where they are Sleeping so that they can wake her up soon and kill her if she is Mad. It’s really interesting because all the archangel’s become affected somehow. It was good read.
Overall: 4 out of 5
