My Opinion: This was an interesting story. It was basically about angels and demons and how they have to work together to stop another greater evil from destroying the world. I liked Sam. She has personality and restraint. I felt like she was someone that you would want as a friend because of how she cares about her friend. Bishop, on the other hand I am a little on fritz with. There were times when I liked him and times when I didn’t. He was just someone that had sort of like mood swings, but that is understandable because of the whole falling and his losing his powers and what not.
The evil was pretty interesting. I haven’t read a book about a succubus like creatures in the YA age gap and that was pretty cool. I also liked how this evil is something that has a history and was able to do something that was supposed to be impossible.
I also really like how the infection from one creature to the other was possible. I guess that is where the title of the novel comes from, Dark Kiss. Anyways, the story was pretty interesting and the problems that were occurring because of who Sam is as well as how it is unknown as to what the evil creature is as well. The characters were pretty interesting, the demons and the angels, as well as how, even though they were sent to fight the demon, they end up fighting each other.
Anyways, overall the story was really interesting and I can’t wait to read the next in the series.
Overall: 4.5 out of 5
