Don’t look at Them. Never let Them know you can see Them.

That is Ethan Chase’s unbreakable rule. Until the fey he avoids at all costs—including his reputation—begin to disappear, and Ethan is attacked. Now he must change the rules to protect his family. To save a girl he never thought he’d dare to fall for.

Ethan thought he had protected himself from his older sister’s world—the land of Faery. His previous time in the Iron Realm left him with nothing but fear and disgust for the world Meghan Chase has made her home, a land of myth and talking cats, of magic and seductive enemies. But when destiny comes for Ethan, there is no escape from a danger long, long forgotten. – Goodreads

My Opinion:

I really want more of Methane in this one, but that is understandable ilshe is now a queen, and a queen can’t just leave her kingdom. However, I am really happy we saw Ash and Puck again. Ethan wasn’t a very important character before and Im glad that the readers can meet him and see how he turned out to be. I am very surprised in many of his reactions and the Kenzie was a really cool person. I love that she wasn’t afraid and I understand better why she did what she did.

The this I liked the most about the book was the trannsformation that Ethan goes through. From the beginning to the end he surprised me with the choices he makes. He says he hares the fairies but he ends up liking them.

Ethan’s Iron Court companion though does not make things easy, mostly because he doesn’t understand I think the implications of who he is and what he can do, but I think it is because he is naive and thinks he can help which is why he believes what he is told at the end of the book and makes the promise. That was a big twist I think. And especially when Ethan finds out who he is.

Overall the book was pretty interesting and a fast read.

Overall: 4 out of 5

  1. I really liked The Lost Prince. I was so excited when I heard that Julie Kagawa was going to write it (Mostly because I wanted to see more of Ash) but I really liked that you get to see more of Ethan, I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book,.
