In this gripping sequel to The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, the truth evolves and choices prove deadly. What will become of Mara Dyer next? – Goodreads
My opinion: I really really liked this. I thought I had written a review but apparently not, so here it is. Mara does not disappoint in this sequel. She is the same as ever although now she “might be going crazy.” She is having short term memory loss and is experiencing dreams that show her another world. Maybe another life.
The fact that everyone questions Mara and the fact that she questions herself makes us not sure who we can trust. I love the way that everyone is manipulated through out the novel by the person who is not supposed to be there. I love that everything that is making their decision based on what they think happened when she “tries” to kill herself.
I really liked the progression that Mara continues to make through out the book in how she tries to come up with ways that could explain what happens to hand. And the twists that happen throughout the story are phenomenal. I hope in the next book, there is more detail into her dreams/past life/memory because that was really cool. It might make the book a bit deeper. I also REALLY REALLY hope to see more of Noah and his diary.
The story was amazing and left me wanting for more. I can’t wait.
Overall: 5+ out of 5
